As Health Care Debate Heats Up, New Book Shines Light on Health Care Disparity throughout the US

September 16, 2009 — Throughout America, the debate over a public health insurance plan is at an all-time high.  Now, a new book written by a world renowned medical scholar, medical educator, and seasoned physician is a must-read for the general public, health care providers, and policy makers alike.

The book, titled "Health Care Disparity in the United States an Urgent Call for Universal Health Insurance & A Public Health Insurance Plan" will provide readers with a true and real overview of some of the major disparities that exist in the US health care system, how different ethnic groups are affected by different diseases, and how treatments differ from group to group.

The book details many of the things that are wrong in the day to day working of the US health care system, causing it to be both too expensive and inefficient.   Additionally, the book outlines some of the misdeeds of the HMOs, analyzes Brands versus Generic Drugs, and details how to fix the broken system by instituting universal health care insurance with a public health care plan.
